As our return guests have come to expect, The Nautilus Maldives’ annual festive season programme offers everything you’d hope for in a tropical escape during the most wonderful time of the year: holiday traditions and family time, chic celebrations, feasts and festivities, memorable activities and much-needed downtime – all wrapped up in an irresistible bohemian whimsy, under radiant skies.
And this year, we’ve dreamed up some new activities and events that we can’t wait to welcome you to. “Glistening Sojourn”, our 2023–24 festive season programme invites you to toast everything that shimmers under the Maldivian sun and to bask in the glow of magical times spent with loved ones.

- Sparkling taste sensations: Degustation dinner with Dom Pérignon
Upon encountering champagne, Dom Pérignon is said to have exclaimed: ”Come quickly, I am tasting the stars!” Those famous words could not be more fitting for our four-course culinary journey. Hosted at our signature dining restaurant, Zeytoun, each delectable course has been thoughtfully paired with a sparkling glass of that most famous premium champagne. And as the sun sets, the Maldives’ glorious canopy of twinkling stars perfectly complements these sensational tastes and the shimmer of festive ambience.
- Crystalline water adventures: Snorkel with sea turtles
The sea turtles that grace our waters have a very special place in our hearts. They are the ocean’s oldest living reptiles – but currently endangered – so we established special conservation initiatives run by our resident marine biologist, Emily, that are dedicated to monitoring nesting turtles and escorting them safely back to sea.
Encountering these turtles – up close and personal – is thus a rare privilege and a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and our team is thrilled to offer guests the opportunity to snorkel alongside these creatures in crystal-clear waters boasting optimum underwater visibility.
- Sundowner sessions: Celebrating the beauty of nature and art
Our Art of Bohemia sessions take place during Nautilus Rising, our daily sundowner hour at Naiboli poolside lounge. At these sessions, we celebrate and explore various art forms, creativity and beauty, all while soaking up the warm hues of the Maldivian sunset. And for our festive programme, we’ve arranged a particularly mesmerising showcase: A local artist who creates exquisite art pieces out of everyday materials, recycling these objects and elevating them into structures that reflect our incredible coral reefs.
- Radiant new starts: A journey with Ananda in the Himalayas
On New Year’s Day, we’re offering an indulgent wellness experience at our overwater spa – in collaboration with our partners, the award-winning spa retreat Ananda in the Himalayas. Our spa experts will guide you on a holistic journey involving revitalising spa treatments, nutritious and healthy meal plans and the uplifting power of nature.
- Shining Sands, Sea and Santa’s Glee: A Children’s Christmas
The festive season is synonymous with childhood enchantment, which is why we’ve dreamt up a jam-packed programme for the little ones, featuring this special Christmas Eve extravaganza that has everything children and teens love. Set on our glittering beach, your children will be spoilt with a feast resplendent with childhood favourites, tailored to their tastes; a Cinema Under the Stars screening; and fun boho accessories to adorn and delight. As we like to say, they can expect “games that sparkle, movies that twinkle, and treats that are oh-so-delicious!”
