At The Nautilus, “family friendly” means so much more than just kids’ menus and babysitting services. We believe family is one of life’s most precious treasures, and quality time with family is one of life’s simplest luxuries. Thus, the family features are standard on our shores — from a range of spacious accommodation suites, an unscripted dining philosophy that caters to all tastes, to an array of free-spirited experiences befitting all generations.
But there are also certain times of year that have an extra-special family feel to them. Our bespoke packages are thus curated to delight guests of all ages, and foster reconnection while creating moments of togetherness. Easter is one such magical holiday, and we bring you a taster of what you can expect during this festive period.

1. Family-focused fun
Each and every moment of Easter festivities are created to be meaningful and memorable. Where you can not only celebrate togetherness, but also connect across the generations. You can choose from family treasure hunts, to guided snorkelling adventures in and around our gorgeous house reef – where our resident marine biologist will help identify the vast numbers of marine life species – and even spa days that tend to both the needs of young ones and the adults.
But our extra-special event this Easter is the Family Day picnic on a castaway island. On the 10th of April, we’ll be setting sail to an uninhabited, unspoilt isle blessed with exquisite natural scenery. Here, the whole family will be treated to fun island-style beach activities and a delicious spread of eats and treats.

2. Feasts for all
Easter is a time of high days and holidays. A time for meditating on the new life they signify, and making new memories with the people who matter most. Feasting is synonymous with such occasions; and so, we’ve dreamed up some exceptional gastronomic events for the Easter weekend.
Our signature restaurant, Zeytoun, will host Good Friday’s degustation dinner; a culinary journey dedicated to awakening the senses. Saturday the 8th is about celebrating the bounty of the sea at Thyme. The freshest, most delectable seafood selections are cooked to your liking and served at our atmospheric all-day restaurant.
Easter Sunday has a beautiful night in store — our Dine Under the Paschal Moon experience. In the balmy evening of early spring, illuminated by the light of the majestic paschal full moon and the heady tunes of our resident musical duo serenading the soul, you can sit back and indulge in dishes both classic and unique.

3. Magical moments for Young Wonderers
This time of year holds endless enchantment for our youngest islanders, and this year’s Easter itinerary does not disappoint. Our dedicated Young Wonderers team has put together a wonderful programme for children of all ages, with activities that engage the mind, body and imagination, all the while supervised by expert childcare professionals.
A perennial favourite is Pirate Day. And this year, we kick off the Easter programme with pirate ships, a search for hidden treasure, cruises with dolphins and, of course, the perfect seafaring gear. There’s also coconut painting, recycled crafts and tree planting in store. Not to mention the special treat awaiting Friday and Easter Sunday; Bunny Mini Olympics on the beach, and (naturally) an island-wide Easter egg hunt. The festivities wrap up with an Easter movie screening under the stars — the perfect cool down to the adventures.

4. Mixology classes for the more mature
After a day of sea and sand and sun – however lively or leisurely – the best way to wind down is by savouring a delicious beverage. But what makes it better is discovering the secrets behind the delightful concoctions. You can look forward to two superb beverage classes, both promising the perfect balance of interactive learning and fun.
Our cocktail creation class will teach you how to mix, shake, stir (and sip) your drink of choice. Whereas our gin-focused masterclass will explore the art of distillation and the vast world of botanical infusions. We are proud to house the largest collection of gins in the Maldives – 64 from across the globe – and our beverage specialists delight in sharing their tips for showcasing the distinctive flavours and aromas of each gin.
In our part of the world, Easter also heralds the dry season and the start of spring. It is one of the best times to enjoy the Maldives’ warm, placid climate, and create a new world of your own making. Find out more by browsing our Easter brochure, and get in touch with us at [email protected].
