At The Nautilus, culinary expression is free to follow curiosity, imagination, and individual taste. From 6 to 12 November 2026, that philosophy takes a delicious new form as award-winning pastry chef and CREAMO founder Elena Nabiulina joins our island for an intimate Masters for Masters residency.
Across the week, guests are invited into Elena’s world of contemporary pâtisserie, discovering the creativity and precision behind her craft through a personal dessert masterclass and an exclusive creation made especially for those staying at The Nautilus.
From Childhood Curiosity to Culinary Artistry
Elena’s relationship with pastry began in her mother’s kitchen, making nut-shaped biscuits filled with condensed milk and delicate homemade pastries. After initially pursuing industrial and civil construction, an encounter with French chef David Emmerle led her towards a different calling. What began as a fascination became a profession shaped by study, experimentation and an enduring curiosity for the possibilities of pâtisserie.
A Craft Refined Around the World
Her journey has since taken her from the Ragout School to an internship at Akrame in Paris, with further training under acclaimed names including Cédric Grolet, Ramon Morato, Jordi Bordas and Karim Bourgi. Elena has also studied at Valrhona’s private school in Dubai, Carpigiani Gelato University and the Institut National de la Boulangerie-Pâtisserie in Rouen, developing an approach that brings together contemporary technique, unexpected flavours and considered textures.
A New Expression of Pastry at The Nautilus
Named Pastry Chef of the Year 2024 by WHERETOEAT, Elena has contributed to more than 14 restaurant openings and served as pastry chef at Café Garage at the Garage Museum. She is also the founder of CREAMO, her artisanal gelato brand. At The Nautilus, her distinctive approach finds a natural home within our philosophy of unscripted dining, where culinary experiences are shaped around personal tastes rather than convention.
Step Inside the World of Pâtisserie
During her residency, Elena will host an intimate dessert masterclass at The Nautilus, sharing the techniques, ideas and creative decisions behind her signature work. Guests can explore pâtisserie alongside Elena herself, discovering how flavour, texture and presentation come together while enjoying the freedom to ask, create and follow their own culinary curiosity.
A Creation Made for the Moment
The experience continues beyond the masterclass. Every guest staying at The Nautilus during Elena’s residency will be invited to savour a special dessert created exclusively for the occasion. Created by Elena for her time on the island, it becomes an edible expression of the Masters for Masters philosophy, where accomplished creators are given the freedom and space to share the passion behind their craft.
Masters Meet in a World of Their Own Making
Masters for Masters at The Nautilus is an invitation to connect personally with extraordinary creative minds. From 6 to 12 November 2026, allow curiosity to lead and discover pâtisserie through Elena’s eyes, one flavour, texture and inspired creation at a time.
