THE BEST TIME TO VISIT THE MALDIVES

In The Maldives, you are blessed to have enviable amounts of glimmering tropical daylight with year-long equatorial temperatures. With The Nautilus being your home and private slice of paradise, we want to share with you our seasoned secrets for the best times to visit the Maldives throughout the year.

Take a look at our month-by-month guide we have created just for you regarding when it’s best to visit our pristine white-sand shores. Don’t forget to read our personal recommendations of what whimsical activities are best for each month too, we wouldn’t want you to miss out on any irresistible Nautilus experiences…

1.        January

As another year dawns, wake up enriched and refreshed with the warm rays of the Maldivian sunrise pouring through your Nautilus house or residence. With the New Year being a popular purpose to visit the Maldives, January offers all the excitement of a new annum alongside blue-skies that create perfect visibility for your diving or snorkelling adventures.

The Nautilus recommends: Let our dive team, AquaNautica introduce you to the wonders of The Nautilus’ house reef and the surrounding local reefs and try your hand at scuba-diving. You can even participate in their rehabilitation by planting your own corals during your stay.

2.       February – March

Escape the icy winter months and instead experience the soft sunshine at The Nautilus, located in the Baa Atoll region (a UNESCO biosphere reserve), during perhaps the driest months in the Maldives.

With February – March being very popular months to visit the Maldives, we are excited to welcome you to our private island escape.

The Nautilus recommends: Set sail upon The Nautilus’ private luxury yacht, Nautilus One, and relax over sensational hand-made epicurean breakfast delights.

1.        April

With a very slight percentage increase of potential rainfall, especially towards the end of the month, April remains a wonderful time to visit The Nautilus. After all, the warm, tropical rain is a sight in itself to witness!

The Nautilus recommends: Why not explore the Maldivian culture a little more and try your hand at one of the most prominent activities in the region; big game fishing. Catch your own dinner and allow your private chef to curate a bespoke dish for you thereafter.

2.       May – September

If you visit the Maldives in May – September, you’re more likely to experience slightly stronger winds intermittently between long spells of sunshine. Perfect for watersports, why not you’re your hand at windsurfing and The Nautilus’ seabob? Or, head to the Solasta Spa to experience a rejuvenating spa journey.

The Nautilus recommends: allow your personal House Master (butler) to arrange a private dinner for you and your loved ones from the comfort of your own private house or residence. Work with our award-winning chefs to curate bespoke dishes that will cater to your every epicurean whim.

1.        October – November

October and November are particularly good months to witness the majestic underwater world, with a high chance you will witness whale sharks and manta rays at the close by Hanifaru Bay in the heart of the UNESCO biosphere reserve. There are plenty of great offers to take advantage of at this time of year, making it a great value time to visit.

The Nautilus recommends: take a trip to Hanifaru Bay, just 15 minutes from The Nautilus via luxury speedboat, and enjoy a private escape with your loved ones for as long as you like. Join the whirling dervish of the renowned manta rays and, if you’re lucky, witness the majestic, gentle whale sharks.

2.       December

With the festive season here, we can’t wait for you and your loved ones to experience Christmas in the heart of the Indian Ocean. Offering plenty of radiant sunbeam spells, what better way to celebrate this special time of year with your loved ones?

The Nautilus recommends: Step foot on our ethereal castaway sandbank and enjoy a spectacular private ‘Cinema Under the Stars’ experience.

The Maldives really is an all-year round destination, with each month somehow being a wonderful time to visit paradise. We’d love to make your escape an unforgettable experience. To enquire, contact at any time [email protected].
